Origin and history

The company was founded in December 1991 by Peter Martiny, senior. At that time, the main subject of his business was the maintenance of subways for pedestrians, which included the care of escalators, airconditioning, pumping stations and cleaning works. Later on, he also started with installation and servicing of escalators.

Our first assembly took place in 1992 when we assembled 9 pieces of escalators of the German manufacturer O & K Rolltreppe GmbH in the subway at Trnavský Mýto. This contract was carried out in cooperation with experts in this field, Transporta Chrudim.

Gradually, escalators were installed at M.R. Štefánik Airport, at Kenvelo in Obchodná Street in Bratislava and Incheba Exhibition Hall in Hall C. With the construction of shopping centre (SC) Aupark in Bratislava, another challenge came when we installed all escalators in its new premises.

After the founder’s death in 2003, the company was taken over by his son, Peter Martini, who already worked for the company for some years. Thanks to his experience and entrepreneurial talent, the company has been constantly growing since 2003 and has had many successful escalator assemblies not only in Slovakia but also abroad.

In 2009, the company changed its legal form and transformed into a limited liability company (s.r.o.) which still bears the name of its founder.

Present

At present, we provide maintenance and service of more than hundreds of escalators and travellators. We have installed the escalators and we ensure their trouble-free operation across the Slovak and the Czech Republic.

In 2010, we started our cooperation with Mr. Miroslav Houda, who had many years of experience with the installation and service of escalators. He is currently responsible for our work and orders in the Czech Republic.

Over the last 10 years, we have specialized mainly in assembly of escalators and travellators in shopping centers (SC). The largest assemblies in Slovakia were in SC Aupark Bratislava, Piešťany, Žilina, SC RETRO, underground crossing on Trnavské mýto in Bratislava, CUBICON in Bratislava, Zara in Avion SC, Hilton Hotel and Main Station in Košice. We also assembled in Michalovce market place, in SC Tuzex in Michalovce, SC Gallery in Lučenec, SC Arena in Trnava and many others.

In the Czech Republic we assembled escalators at Metro (underground) stations on route A (new stations) and the reconstruction of Palmovka Metro station in Prague. In Prague, escalators were also assembled in SC Quadrio and SC Šestka, SC Chodov, Van Graaf. Kaufland Prague-Modrany, Ládví, Jarov, Vypich, Podbaba, Kaufland Brno, SC Breda in Opava, OC Šantovka Olomouc, Pardubice Palace, IGY Center in České Budějovice, SC Letmo in Brno and many others. One assembly took place in Hungary at Keleti Pályaudvar, metro (underground) station in Budapest.

Between 1992 and 2014, we worked for the capital of Slovakia, Bratislava. In 2017 we have started again our cooperation and we provide the service of technological equipment, cleaning and cleaning works and subway construction works.

In 2018, we have successfully done reconstruction of the subway, assembly of escalators and lifts in Trnavské mýto.

In November 2018, we accepted an offer to cooperate with the Danish KONE subsidiary and based on our cooperation agreement, we carried out the cladding of escalators at 2 new metro stations in Copenhagen – Aksel Mollers Have and Norrebro. The cooperation lasted, with breaks, until May 2019 when 6 our employees worked in Copenhagen.

In 2019, we cooperated with the City of Prague, we assembled  escalators in the subway/Metro, on the new route D and changed the escalators at other older stations.

Since 2009 we have been holders of the ISO quality certificate.
